Entertainment: '' The most unanticipated and hated song became the most talked about".

It's no longer a story that Tonto Dikeh's song has become a topic of discussion recently. The Nollywood diva who recently had a chat with a female blogger confessed that though she loves her acting career, she is not in any way going to jump into music full time. ''I love my acting career and I don't see myself jumping into full time music. I am however shooting the musical video of my songs,I will not let the hating stop me, '' she said.
Tonto also said that despite the critics and bad belle syndrome, her song has received a thumb up from youtube withing a week for 5.2m downloads. '' The most unanticipated and hated song became the most talked about, most controversial, most downloaded and of course the most listened song. I feel great, no regrets.!''
You have heard it all, Tonto seems not deterred by whatever anyone says about her incursion into music world. Despite the monstrous negative response, this is what the delectable actress said '' I love music and I wanted to do my own thing, to contribute my own music. I listened to my songs over and over again and I told myself I did well. In all, I see only the positivity in it, I made History. People's opinion of how my music was has further strengthened my belief that dreams die when you let the next man's opinion get to you and I am using now to pass a message to everyone out there, if you can just do it. Don't let anyone's opinion kill whatever dream you have or try to stop you from taking the next step. ''

Sport: Manchester United a dramatic 3-2 victory against nine-man Chelsea.

Javier Hernandez’s controversial winning goal gave Manchester United a dramatic 3-2 victory against nine-man Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The result ensured Alex Ferguson’s side reduced the gap on Roberto Di Matteo’s Premier League leaders to just one point, but the Blues were left fuming at the performance of referee Mark Clattenburg.
Chelsea had recovered from falling behind to a David Luiz own goal and a Robin van Persie strike to level through goals from Juan Mata and Ramires when Branislav Ivanovic was sent off for a 63rd-minute foul on Ashley Young.
More contentious, though, was the second yellow card shown to Fernando Torres five minutes later, after the referee had decided the striker dived following a challenge by Jonny Evans.
Replays suggested there had been contact between the two players and the decision sparked fury on the Chelsea bench that led to a touchline altercation between Ferguson and Di Matteo’s staff.
Worse was to come for the home side, with substitute Hernandez clinching victory in the 75th minute with a close-range finish from what appeared to be an offside position.
The events of the final half hour ensured the match ended in controversy but before that it had already been a thrilling encounter.
The pre-match handshake between Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole, together with the absence of John Terry — who is serving a four-match ban for racially abusing Ferdinand’s brother, Anton — removed a potential flashpoint.
But the subsequent 90 minutes more than made up for it.
It was United who started the game with the greater urgency and were clearly driven by the motivation to keep Di Matteo’s side within their sights at the head of the table.
While United quickly got into their stride, attacking fluently down their right-hand flank, Chelsea’s defence looked disjointed and nervous, and the absence of Terry was telling.
Petr Cech was called into action after less than three minutes when van Persie drilled in a stinging left-foot shot from outside the area.
But the home goalkeeper had no chance of preventing United taking the lead 60 seconds later after Wayne Rooney had worked his way to the byline and pulled back for van Persie, whose shot crashed off the post and into the net via the back of Luiz.
The second came just eight minutes later after another lightning move down the United right.
Goalkeeper David De Gea started the move by rolling the ball out to Ferdinand and it ended with van Persie sweeping the ball home from Antonio Valencia’s low cross.
Chelsea looked in desperate trouble, while United were rampant.
Slowly, though, the home side worked their way back into the game and when they were finally able to play to their strengths in the attacking third, the momentum of the game shifted dramatically.
Suddenly it was De Gea who was the busier of the two keepers and the young Spaniard kept his side in it before Mata eventually halved the deficit shortly before the interval.
Rooney fouled Eden Hazard on the edge of the United area, allowing Mata to curl a precise free-kick around the wall and beyond the reach of De Gea.
Di Matteo’s side continued where they had left off after the break and were level eight minutes into the second period when Ramires headed home from Oscar’s cross.
At that point the game was perfectly poised, before an incident-packed five-minute spell left Chelsea with nine men and United poised for victory.
Ivanovic was first to see red in the 63rd minute when he tripped Young as the United winger was bearing down on goal after being played in by van Persie.
And when Torres followed five minutes later, it was always going to be an enormous task for Chelsea to hold on.
But their sense of injustice was further fuelled by Hernandez’s strike after the Mexico forward turned home Rafael’s drilled cross.

Suicide Bomber In Bauchi Again

What would resulted to another bloody Sunday at the Living Faith Church in Yelwa, a suburb of Bauchi Metropolis was averted when armed soldiers who swiftly acting on proactive measures, averted another bomb explosion .
It could be recalled that on the 3rd of June 2012, a suicide bomber rammed his vehicle at the Living Faith Church and the Harvest of Field Church, killing 21 while 45 others sustained injuries.
We gathered that the incident happened at around 11 am when most churches were holding services.
It was learnt that two suspected suicide bombers on a motorcycle disguised themselves as church members escaped security checks, but luck ran out of them when they decided to change their route which prompted the suspicion of the security men to go after them.
An eyewitness told us that the two suspected bombers were riding a motorcycle. He said one of the suicide bombers who was unlucky was caught by some good Samaritans at the Yelwa Makaranta area was while the other who was carrying the explosive to the targeted churches escaped.
The eyewitness added that the bombers were forced to divert their direction because the Joint Military Task Force had alerted Church security men to placed iron barricade to prevent suicide bombers from gaining access to their church premises, a development which made the bomber to abandon his motor cycle and take to his heels for safety.
It was gathered that the bomber made confessional statements to security and people around that indicted eminent religious leaders in the state as their sponsors with a promise to give details.

145 Wounded In Kaduna Church Bombing And 10 dead.

A suicide attacker drove a car bomb into a church on Sunday, sparking fierce reprisals that saw a Christian mob burn a man alive in day of a bloody of violence that left at least 10 people dead and 145 wounded.
Christian youths took to the streets of the northern city of Kaduna with machetes and sticks after the blast, targeting those they believed to be Muslims as anger again boiled over due to repeated church bombings in recent months.

Attackers beat a motorcycle taxi driver near the church, then put his bike on top of him before dousing him with petrol and setting him on fire, an AFP correspondent who saw the violence said. Two other bloodied bodies apparently killed by the mob were seen near the church.
A rescue official on condition of anonymity also spoke of the man being burnt and said rescuers could not save him because the mob was too violent.
The mob also attacked an ambulance in the ensuing violence, but there was no indication that rescuers were wounded.
“So far we have eight dead and 145 injured from the church blast,” Musa Ilallah, regional coordinator for the National Emergency Management Agency, told AFP, noting that his death toll included the suspected bomber.
The attacker rammed what residents said was an SUV into St. Rita church, shaking the Malali neighbourhood of Kaduna, a city that has suffered a wave of deadly violence blamed on Islamist extremist group Boko Haram.
“All of a sudden it drove on high speed and rammed into the church wall, forcing its way into the church premises,” said witness Samuel Emmanuel.
“Initially I thought the driver had lost control of the vehicle. Suddenly there was a huge explosion as the car reached the church building. It was dust, fire and smoke all over.”
A spokesman for Nigeria’s National Emergency Management Agency confirmed the bomb attack and said rescuers had been rushed to the scene.
“A number of casualties evacuated to hospitals,” said Yushau Shuaib. The incident was suspected to be triggered by a suicide bomber in a car.”
An AFP correspondent said mobs were yelling “why the church?” and some were carrying weapons, including machetes. Local elders were seeking to restore calm.
Residents had earlier spoken of clashes having broken out between Christian and Muslim residents.
The attack came after Friday’s Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday, but it was not clear if there was any link.
In June, Boko Haram claimed responsibility for three suicide attacks on churches in Kaduna state, where the city of Kaduna is located, which led to deadly rioting. Dozens of people were killed in the violence.
Boko Haram’s insurgency in northern and central Nigeria has led to more than 2,800 deaths since 2009. While Muslims have often been its victims, it has in recent months also specifically targeted churches.
President Goodluck Jonathan has said the group is seeking to incite a religious crisis in Africa’s most populous nation and largest oil producer, roughly divided between a mainly Muslim north and predominately Christian south.
Kaduna is a large mainly Muslim city in Nigeria’s north and includes a sizeable Christian population.
Nigerians have grown increasingly frustrated with security forces’ inability to stop Boko Haram attacks, and there have been warnings of more reprisals if the violence continued.
Some Evangelical church leaders in Nigeria have said Christians may be forced to defend themselves if something is not done to address the unrest.

News: Gospel singer Dies Of Kidney Failure.

Renowned gospel singer, Patty Obasi, died on Friday after battling with a critical ailment for over one year.
His two kidneys were said to have failed and was recommended for a transplant operation in India but could not embark on the operation owing to lack of fund.
Obasi, whose popular album Nwa Mammy Water, shot him to limelight, died at his Enugu residence in the early hours of Friday after he reportedly slipped into unconsciousness.
Obasi was down with kidney failure since last year and his doctor said he needed not less than N10 million to transplant his two failed kidneys in India.
One of his sisters, who confirmed his demise on telephone, said Obasi gave up the ghost after the prolonged ailment without undergoing the recommended kidney transplant.
She could not say if any assistance finally came the way of the popular gospel artiste who had cried out to members of the public, the government and political office holders for financial assistance to enable him undertake the kidney transplant.
“Brother died at his house this morning and his body had been deposited in the mortuary. He could not go for the kidney transplant in India as recommended by his doctor at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, UNTH, Enugu,” she said.
Obasi, who had many gospel albums to his credit, hailed from Mmaku in Agwu local government area of Enugu State.

News: Housewife Contracted STD From Husband.

Mrs. Olushola Gbediga alleged that  her husband, Mr. Mathew Gbediga, afflicted her with sexually transmitted disease (STD). Before then, the woman said the husband kept away the STD from her for three  months.
Olushola, who dragged her husband before an Agege customary court, claimed her husband was  promiscuous to the extent that he was crazy about  anything in skirt.
The woman  claimed that her pastor was aware that her husband had STD, and he had been treating it for him.
She added that her husband always accused her of flirting, despite the fact that he was the one that afflicted her with the disease.
Mathew denied the allegation, saying it was his mechanic that told him  his wife was dating someone, but he did not believe him until she started complaining that her vagina discharge was smelling badly.
”I was surprised to be told that I had STD, when l went for malaria treatment; so I told my wife and the pastor, but to my surprise my wife did not  go for the test, and that made her to conclude that l contacted the disease from her”.
The husband claimed that his wife lied to him that she was going to Agege only for him to discover that she went to Itori, Abeokuta, Ogun  State. He therefore pleaded that the court should not dissolve the marriage because he still loved his wife dearly.
Meanwhile, the court president Mr. Emmanuel  Shokunle adjourned the case till November 26 for further hearing.

News: A Man Sinks Wife In Pit Latrine.

When the news filtered into town that a man had pushed his wife into a completely filled pit latrine resulting to her death, the story sounded bizarre.
The news became stranger as the couple was described as friendly and gentle.
Following the development, residents of Agbado, in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State have remained in shock.
It was bizarre!
It was shocking!
It was inhuman!
It was callous!
In fact, you could describe the act with all the invectives in the world and you would be right.
The middle-aged victim was identified as Rauda Alaraba who met her fate during a domestic squabble with her husband..
Some residents of the area have continued to raise posers:
What could have prompted the 46-year-old Surajudeen to throw his wife into the pit latrine in their rented house?
Was it done to punish her or was it accidental?
The murder suspect was paraded in Abeokuta.
The storey-building where the incident happened became a Mecca of sort when the news broke that Rauda was made to eat feaces after she entered the latrine before she gave up the ghost.

*The suspect
The marriage of the couple was said to have produced some children but the husband, it was learnt, was not gainfully employed and had to rely on the wife, a petty trader, for sustenance.
Many neighbours of the Alarabas, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, expressed concern that the suspect must have been under a spell as he was never known for violence.
However, Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye, while parading Suraju and other suspected criminals, at the State Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, narrated that the suspect committed the crime  at about 7.20p.m. penultimate Sunday.
He said the suspect would be charged to court after the completion of the interrogation .While disclosing how the police got the story, Okoye said: “The Agbado Division had a distress call that a man had pushed his wife into a deep pit and we quickly rushed to the scene where the victim was met dead in the pit.
“The suspect was immediately apprehended and we are still interrogating him, he will be charged to court as soon as we are done with our investigations”.
Meanwhile, another couple are in police net over alleged illegal possession of firearms. George Dada, said to be an octogenarian and his 64-year old wife, Sidikat, were also alleged to be shielding their son said to be on the wanted list of police.
According to the police, findings revealed that the couple are parents to a wanted armed robber suspect, Adeyemi, who was at large.
The police commissioner said that the couple were arrested following the discovery of some guns and ammunition hidden in their residence located at 21 Obarinwa Street, Aiyegbami, Ago-Iwoye.
Okoye said, “The DPO of Ago-Iwoye, Stephen Iriavbijeh, got information that suggested that the couple’s son, one Adeyemi Dada, is a robbery suspect and he led a team to conduct the search.
“ On getting there, the suspect was not seen but, while executing the search warrant, one cut-to-size gun, two locally made pistols and 16 live cartridges were recovered in his mother’s wardrobe.
“Thus the arrest of the two of them in whose possession the firearms were found for thorough interrogation.”
The commissioner said the couple might be charged to court if the culpability of the allegation against them was established.

Increase In Divorce Rate In Nigeria.

Some lawyers in Lagos on Saturday expressed concern over the increasing rate of divorce in Nigeria.
Mr Olalekan Ojo, of Ojo and Company Law Firm, said that intolerance, infidelity and battery were the major factors responsible for divorce in the country.
“Many marriages are collapsing with the customary courts terminating a large number annually.
“The court should always make an effort to reunite the couple rather than dissolve the marriage,” he said.
He said that most children from broken homes roamed the streets and indulged in unlawful activities.
He advised the government at all levels, parents and religious leaders to join hands and find ways of stemming the tide of divorce.
Another lawyer, Mr Ayo ogunlade, said that the reasons for marriage failure were insincerity, unfaithfulness, incompatibility and immaturity.
“Couples should always engage in dialogue in resolving issues, be open to each other and avoid influence of family and friends in order to enjoy lasting union.
“Many couples pretend during courtship to be what they are not only for the deceit to be discovered after marriage,” he said.
Ogunlade advised couples to show understanding, tolerance and patience with one another.
Mr Olakunle Ajayi of Olakunle Ajayi and Company Law Firm, attributed the high rate of marriage failure to desertion, sex-starvation and dishonesty.
He advised people going into marriage to first of all take the pain to understand what the relationship entailed before going into it.
“No marriage is perfect; it is the couple that will make it work,
“Couples should show high level of faithfulness and understanding to keep their marriages going,” he said. (NAN)

Sport: Arsenal Was Rescues.

Mikel Arteta’s 84th-minute goal saw Arsenal beat bottom club Queens Park Rangers 1-0 in the Premier League on Saturday to snap a two-game losing streak and crown Jack Wilshere’s comeback with victory.
Beaten by Norwich City and Schalke in their last two outings, Arsene Wenger’s side looked destined for a third disappointing result in a row until Arteta finally found a way past QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
Victory lifted Arsenal to fourth place, although they trail leaders Chelsea by seven points and will fall 10 points off the pace if the Blues prevail against Manchester United on Sunday.
Arsenal welcomed back Wilshere — who missed the whole of last season through injury — and Bacary Sagna at the Emirates and despite controlling the game, they squandered a number of chances in the first half.
Julio Cesar saved twice from Olivier Giroud, while Aaron Ramsey found the top of the crossbar with a header and Wilshere stung the Brazilian goalkeeper’s palms from the edge of the box.
The QPR shot-stopper got down quickly to repel a Per Mertesacker header early in the second half, before Junior Hoilett had a lob correctly ruled out for offside at the other end.
Wilshere was substituted in the 67th minute and 10 minutes later Santi Cazorla spurned a glorious opportunity to put Arsenal ahead when he blazed over from 12 yards after the ball fell kindly for him.
QPR centre-back Stephane Mbia was sent off for lashing out at Thomas Vermaelen and Julio Cesar brilliantly saved Samba Diakite from scoring an own goal before Arteta tapped in from close range following a goal-mouth scramble.
QPR came close to equalising three times in injury time — Esteban Granero shooting wide, Jamie Mackie firing straight at Vito Mannone after an enterprising run, and Mannone touching a Granero free-kick around the post — but Arsenal survived.
“It was amazing to be back — words cannot describe it. I was just running around, smiling,” said Wilshere, who had been sidelined for 17 months.
“Last time I played it was with (Cesc) Fabregas and (Samir) Nasri — now it’s with Arteta and Cazorla, who are great players too. It’s like a new team and I’m like a new player.”
Like Arsenal, Manchester City also succumbed to a damaging Champions League loss in mid-week, going down 3-1 at Ajax, but they can close to within a point of Chelsea if they beat Swansea City in Saturday’s late kick-off.
Fulham climbed to sixth after sharing six goals with Reading in an extraordinary 3-3 draw at the Madejski Stadium.
After falling behind to a stunning long-range striker by Mikele Leigertwood, Fulham hit back through substitute Bryan Ruiz and then pulled ahead in the 77th minute when Chris Baird glanced home a header from Ruiz’s corner.
Gareth McCleary equalised for Reading in the 85th minute before Dimitar Berbatov restored Fulham’s lead three minutes later, only for Hal Robson-Kanu to snatch a share of the spoils for the hosts by bundling home from close range in the last minute.
Elsewhere, a superb volley by Ivan Ramis set Wigan Athletic on their way to a 2-1 win at home to West Ham United that lifted the Latics up to 15th, while Stoke City and Sunderland drew 0-0 at the Britannia Stadium.
Earlier, Norwich punished former coach Paul Lambert by holding Aston Villa to a 1-1 draw that left Villa one place above the relegation zone.
Christian Benteke, preferred to Darren Bent, put Villa ahead in the 27th minute but the hosts had Joe Bennett sent off for a second bookable offence early in the second half and Michael Turner equalized with 11 minutes to play.
Lambert, who made an acrimonious departure from Norwich in the summer, has overseen just one win in his first nine league games at the Villa Park helm.

News: Nigerian uses witchcraft to traffic teenage girls for prostitution.

A Nigerian human trafficker who terrified his victims into silence through “juju” witchcraft rituals and sexual violence was convicted Friday of trafficking girls to work in the sex trade across Europe.
Former security guard Osezua Osolase faces jail when he is sentenced on Monday for tricking impoverished young Nigerian girls into travelling to Britain before farming them out as sex workers for up to £70,000 a time to continental gangs.
Police identified flight records and forged passport records to show that he recruited 28 girls and escorted many of them abroad over a 15-month period from 2010. But Osolase boasted to his victims that he had been running the scam for more than a decade.
Osolase deliberately targeted some of the most vulnerable girls in the world – orphaned, ill-educated and homeless – and brought them  to Britain where he kept them captive.
The 42-year-old ensured their obedience by binding the young girls to him  with “juju” rituals – a powerful force in parts of Nigeria – that left girls fearing that they would die if they ran away or spoke out against him.
But in a major breakthrough for police, officers traced three of their victims – aged 14, 16, and 17 at the time – who were prepared to give evidence after  they were stopped by authorities while travelling to the European cities on false travel documents.
One of the girls told how she was taken to a house of witchcraft in Lagos. The teenager was given a blood-like mixture, told to bathe in it and wrap sodden cloth around her. A priest cut hair from her armpits, some of her finger and toenails and took blood from her hand. The woman was told that the body parts taken in the ritual would be used to find and kill her if ever she tried to run away.
The majority of Osolase’s victims were trafficked to Italy, Spain and France where there is a high demand for West African women to work in the sex trade, police said. However, detectives believe that he funnelled his wealth back to Nigeria and had no trappings of wealth at his home in Northfleet, Kent.
Detective Inspector Eddie Fox said: “Osolase led these girls to believe a better life awaited them in the UK, he preyed on vulnerable girls who had no one to care for them and would not be missed. “Juju is a well established belief but Osolase corrupted it in a bid to gain control and bend the wills of his victims. He exploited the girls and took advantage of the fact they had nobody.’’
