DStv has launched the much awaited Afro-centric TV channel, VoxAfrica.
The channel is available on the DStv Access, Family, Compact, Compact Plus (where available) and Premium bouquets.
DStv viewers will not be the only people celebrating the launch of great African programming on the small screen. GOtv audiences will also be sharing in the good news with VoxAfrica due to launch to GOtv Plus consumers on channel 16 in Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda from this December.
Focused on putting the African continent and its talented and diverse peoples at the heart of its line-up, VoxAfrica’s line-up includes news, commerce, sports, music, movies, sitcoms and lifestyle series. Among the key programmes audiences should look out for are the twice daily London produced news programme, Vox News, the culture and entertainment round-up, Afrobuzz, the action packed Sports 360 and the powerful female panel show, Ladies Talk.
Other programmes on the VoxAfrica channel, which draw its inspiration and content from African communities both at home and in the diaspora include Hot Seat, Wahala, Clinic Matters, Abiba and America Confidential.
MultiChoice Africa CEO, Nico Meyer, re-iterated that both DStv and GOtv are proudly and passionately African.
